The Anglers Behind the Lures

Every lure tells a story.

But before a CST lure ever reaches an angler’s tackle box, there are countless hours spent on the water learning what works, what does not, and what makes a predator commit.

Our Prostaff is part of that story.

These are not simply people who wear the CST name. They are anglers who live for the next cast, the next piece of water, and the possibility of finding something extraordinary beneath the surface.

They fish the rivers, lakes and wild places that inspire what we build. They put our lures in front of real fish in real conditions. They push them, test them, believe in them, and help us make them better.

Different anglers. Different waters. Different stories.

One shared obsession.

Fishing.

BOJAN BOGIC

Bojan’s passion for fishing began at just six years old on the rivers of Serbia, where countless days on the water taught him how to read current, understand fish behaviour and appreciate the smallest details of presentation. After moving to Calgary in 2013, that same obsession followed him to the rivers and lakes of Western Canada and eventually became CST Handmade Lures. Today, Bojan brings decades of experience into every lure he designs and builds, constantly refining shape, balance, action and finish. For him, a lure has to do more than look good. It has to come alive in the water and give an angler complete confidence every time they make a cast.

ROB FRANZON

Born and raised in Calgary, Rob’s love of fishing began young through time spent on the water with his grandfather. Those early days created a passion that has only grown stronger, taking him from Alberta rivers and mountain lakes to oceans and new waters far from home. Rob loves the entire experience of fishing, from the quiet early mornings and long days exploring to the anticipation of never knowing what the next cast might bring. For him, the best days are not always measured by how many fish are caught, but by the places fishing takes you, the people you share it with and the unforgettable moments that happen when everything finally comes together.

BRANDON CLARK

Brandon is an avid outdoorsman with more than a decade of fishing experience and a passion for discovering wild places. Whether he is exploring a remote river, guiding another angler or simply searching for new water, he is always looking for the next adventure. Brandon believes some of the best lessons in fishing come from time spent on the water, learning conditions, understanding fish and adapting when things do not go according to plan. He also enjoys sharing that experience with others and helping new anglers discover what makes fishing so special. For Brandon, the catch is only one part of the story. The journey, the knowledge and the memories made along the way are what keep him coming back.

DANIEL CUBAYNES

Daniel is an Alberta angler with a passion for exploring new water and chasing one fish in particular, the bull trout. The challenge of finding these powerful predators keeps him constantly searching for new rivers, hidden stretches of water and places that might hold the next great fish. Daniel approaches every trip with curiosity, patience and a willingness to keep learning, knowing that success often comes after hours of searching and countless casts. For him, that is part of what makes fishing so addictive. You never know when a shadow will appear behind the lure, the rod will load up and an ordinary day on the river will suddenly become one you remember forever.

DINOS LAZARIDIS

Dinos is a dedicated trophy angler who is always searching for the next big fish. With years of experience and multiple fishing records to his name, he approaches each body of water as a challenge waiting to be figured out. Conditions change, fish move and what worked yesterday may not work today, which is exactly what keeps him interested. Dinos studies the water, adjusts his presentation and keeps experimenting until he finds what the fish want. That persistence and attention to detail have become a major part of his success. For Dinos, there is always another technique to learn, another stretch of water to explore and another personal best somewhere beneath the surface.
